This motherboard comes with a utility that supposedly will up the amperage on a given USB port so it can charge tablets (I believe I recall 1.5A) and also allows the system to charge while off.
I can't figure out the USB port this applies to. Some posts have said it's the RED usb port on the motherboard; there is no red port. There are 3 black ones, the blue 3.0 front panel connector, 4 in the rear (2 blue and 2 black). No red.
I've tried plugging into the USB 3.0 ports with a utility that monitors input amperage on my Android devices. It doesn't seem to matter where I plug it in.
Does anyone know what port I'm supposed to use?
Thanks!
Edit: One of the problems with the utility is it no longer shows in the taskbar so I can't make changes to its settings. When I run it again it says it's already running. BUT I discovered in its .ini file it has the USB ID's for 'FASTER CHARGER' devices, listing only iphones and ipads. I added a line with my Nexus 7 VID and rebooted. Now my N7 is charging at a positive rate of about 150mah instead of the negative is was charging at. This is on my USB 3.0 front header port. I may have gotten it working, and it may be that it's not a special USB port but all of them. I'm still not certain though, haven't yet figured out how on Android to read the mah it's getting.
